BICA VISTA: A Dream Made Real

BICA VISTA began as a dream — and, honestly, not a very straightforward one.

For years, I imagined myself working in a hotel. Not owning one, just being part of that world where every detail mattered and people arrived tired but left softer. But life had other plans. I applied for jobs, went to interviews, tried again and again… and never got hired. Not even as a receptionist.

So instead of waiting for a place to welcome me, I decided to create one.

In 2020, my family bought this house as our summer escape — a quiet space to rest, recharge, and be together. After that first summer, everyone returned to their lives, but I stayed. I didn’t plan to build anything. I just felt at home.

It was just me, the villa, the Atlantic wind, and a view that made everything feel clearer. I fixed things, experimented, learned the rhythm of the house, and slowly transformed it into something more than a home. By 2023, BICA VISTA opened its doors.

A name born from a playful moment became a feeling — a new view, a fresh angle, a softer way of living.

BICA VISTA is not a hotel. It’s not a concept. It’s a place where you’re meant to feel better than home. Where mornings are slow, rooms are bright, and the smallest details are cared for without making a show of it.

And today, BICA VISTA is no longer just my project — it’s truly a family home.

Meet the Heart of BICA VISTA: Marina

In the summer of 2024, my mom, Marina, joined me in taking care of the villa. Many guests have already fallen in love with her warmth, kindness, and the calm, welcoming energy she brings to the house.

While life now takes me more often to Lisbon for work, Marina is the one who will greet you, help you feel at home, and make sure your stay is as peaceful and cared for as ever. She may not speak English, but hospitality doesn’t need translation — and her presence is what makes BICA VISTA feel truly personal.

Here, nothing is rushed.
You eat well, sleep deeply, and exhale fully.
You hear the ocean even from indoors.
And by day two, something inside you unwinds.

BICA VISTA was created because I couldn’t find a place like this anywhere else.
Now it belongs to everyone who arrives, breathes out, and feels that quiet sense of “this is exactly where I needed to be.”
