BICA VISTA: A Dream Made Real
by Roma

It started with a dream — and a lot of rejection.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to work in a hotel. Not own one. Just… be in one. Part of that world. That atmosphere where every detail mattered, where people arrived tired and left softer. But the dream didn’t go how I pictured. I sent applications, went to interviews, showed up with all my heart — and didn’t get hired. Not even for receptionist roles.

So I stopped chasing the hotel world from the outside, and started wondering… what if I created my own?

In 2020, my family bought this house as a summer escape — a quiet place to gather, recharge, be together. But after that first summer, they returned to their lives. I stayed.

For a while, it was just me, this big white villa, the wind through the cliffs, and the view — endless, cinematic, and grounding. A place I didn’t want to leave. A place that made me feel more like myself than anywhere I’d ever been.

I lived here alone. I fixed things. I discovered where the light hit at 4pm. I fought with the electricity and cursed at the heating system. I painted, rearranged, and sat on the floor in silence until I knew what it needed. And slowly, I started turning it into more than just a home.

I didn’t have a five-year plan. But I had a feeling.

In 2023, I opened the doors and called it BICA VISTA — a name that came from playing with words, almost like a joke at first. But it stuck. It sounded like what this place feels like: a new view. A new angle. A way of seeing life differently.

BICA VISTA is not a hotel. It’s not a concept. It’s a place where you’re meant to feel better than home. A place where everything — from the way the morning light fills the rooms, to the way your towel smells, to the quiet comfort of a shared coffee — is thought through, but never forced.

Here, nothing is rushed.
You eat well, sleep deeply, and feel lighter by day two.
You hear the ocean even with the windows closed.
And hopefully, you remember what it feels like to be taken care of — fully, softly, completely.

I made BICA VISTA because I couldn’t find it anywhere else.
Now it’s yours too.

Welcome.
